🌼 Donki Land Dalat – Lost in a Fairytale Village in the Heart of the Highlands
Experience Donki Land Dalat – a European-style village in the heart of the highlands, featuring a sheep farm, flower gardens, live performances, and stunning photo spots.
Zoodoo Da Lat is known for its friendly zoo model, close to nature and allowing interaction with animals. However, with a guided tour format that limits exploration, a less diverse animal selection than expected, and an entry fee that doesn’t quite match the experience, I felt this was a “one-time visit just to see what it’s like.” The scenery is nice, but not compelling enough for a return trip.
Zoodoo is located about 30km from the center of Da Lat, surrounded by pine forests and hills. The air is fresh, the atmosphere is quiet—perfect for escaping the city’s hustle and bustle. The grounds are designed in a rustic way with dirt and wooden paths, maintaining the natural features of the highland.
The highlight of Zoodoo is the chance to interact with animals: you can feed and pet kangaroos, alpacas, rabbits, sheep… However, I felt the animals were neither as cute nor as diverse as expected. Some looked quite pitiful—like peacocks that had lost most of their feathers, and the capybaras were too old, looking more like pigs than the cute animals seen elsewhere.
Zoodoo has a small cafe with a relaxing pine forest view, perfect for resting. There’s also a camping area if you want to stay overnight in nature. However, because the tour is quite rushed, there's little time to enjoy these facilities.
Zoodoo follows a wild Australian design style with several cute photo corners like wooden fences, rabbit pens, and wooden signs. But since it’s a guided tour, you can’t freely take photos where and when you want—making the photo experience incomplete.
The ticket is currently 100,000 VND/adult. With such a limited tour format and unimpressive animals, I don’t think the price is justified. If you could explore freely, it might be better. But being forced into a “guided visit” like this is quite exhausting.
I had high hopes for Zoodoo, but the reality didn’t meet expectations. For me, it’s a “try once to know” type of place—especially if you’re not a fan of fixed, guided tours. The scenery is nice, but the feeling I left with was more disappointment than joy.
