Looking for an adrenaline-pumping activity in Da Lat?
You should not miss the Datanla New Alpine Coaster, one of the most exciting attractions in the City of Eternal Spring. With a modern rail coaster system winding through lush pine forests, this is a must-try experience that will leave a lasting impression.
The Datanla New Alpine Coaster is the longest rail coaster in Southeast Asia, stretching over 2.4 kilometers. It’s located within the Datanla Waterfall tourist area, just 5 km from downtown Da Lat. This thrilling ride lets visitors control their own two-person sleds, zipping down curvy tracks through the forest – a rush of speed and excitement while still being completely safe.
Before the ride, staff will explain how to operate the coaster, fasten seat belts, and maintain safe distances. Each sled has its own hand brake, making it very user-friendly, even for beginners.
The track has plenty of twists, turns, and speedy drops that make you want to scream (in a good way!). It’s perfect for thrill-seekers and anyone looking to try something new and exciting in Da Lat.
As the sled glides through the forest, you’re surrounded by Da Lat’s iconic pine trees, with the Datanla stream and waterfall running alongside – a gorgeous, natural setting that combines adrenaline and relaxation.
Note: Children under 1m tall are not allowed. Kids between 1m–1.2m must ride with an adult.

I rode the Datanla Alpine Coaster more than 5 years ago, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in Da Lat. In my recent trips, I haven’t had the chance to revisit because there have been so many new attractions, each taking up quite a bit of time.
But I plan to return soon and will update this review with the latest experience!
Absolutely YES! Especially if you:
Visit Datanla in the morning, then head to Robin Hill – cable car – Truc Lam Zen Monastery to make the most of your route. Don’t forget your camera – there are lots of stunning photo spots here!
